Protection Programs

This protection program consists of three components which are child protection, child rights and protection monitoring network/population movement tracking (PMN/PMT) which the organization has been working for the last nine years collaborating with UN, INGOs, LNGOs, government agencies and community at all. The overall impacts of the child protection and child rights are protection rights of all children in Somaliland realized and the realization of all children’s right’s is enhanced. The PMN/PMT goal is to contribute the durable solutions for the displaced population-assisting them in obtaining their rights. As a result we built capacity of duty bearers to prevent, and respond to abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence affecting children in Somaliland and we establish and train community-based child protection structures. We establish child right groups and provide basic child rights, life skills and child to child approach trainings in order to empower them participating all matters affecting their life. In PMN/PMT we improve the protection of the displaced by strengthening the country wide protection monitoring network, advocacy mechanisms, referral system and response.

Mission

To promote sustainable development through community-based socio-economic empowerment targeting vulnerable youth, women, children, pastoralists, and people with disabilities while responding to environmental and climate change challenges in Somaliland.

A country where the youth, women, children, pastoralists, and people with disabilities respond to the causes and effects of vulnerable and poverty.
